Time and motion: Stop motion animation
Expanding on a previous characterisation project, I introduced character Victor, an introverted drug lord immersed in the world of antiques and fine china. This concept delves into themes of obsession and addiction, paralleling the proverb, "curiosity killed the cat." The stop-motion narrative follows Victor as he ventures into a foreboding forest and discovers a mysterious house. Despite ominous signs, Victor explores confidently, drawn to a magical substance emitting a purple glow. As he indulges impulsively, the narrative crescendos with Victor losing control and succumbing to the substance's effects. Inspired by "Goldilocks and the Three Bears," the tale offers an unsettling glimpse into Victor's psyche and an ambiguous conclusion.
Narrative photography
Aligned with the concept of my stop-motion animation, the narrative set of photographs serves to unveil my character Victor’s personality within a distinct visual environment. The images convey the euphoric theme, revealing a drug lord with a nuanced blend of femininity and flamboyance, juxtaposed with a tough and dangerous persona.
